NFL player Damar Hamlin is in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field during the Monday Night game on ESPN between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. The terrifying incident happened during the end of the first quarter after Hamlin made a tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. As Hamlin rose to his feet after the collision he then collapsed to the ground. Medical staff arrived on the field to attended Hamlin for over 30 minutes while his teammates watched closely . The  NFL decided to suspended the game as Hamlin was transported to the hospital.

A statement released by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell  stated.

“Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.”

Our thoughts are with Damar family and the Buffalo Bills fans.
