This just in!

A new Prince album is coming titled Welcome 2 America. This new album will be released from the late singer’s estate and feature unreleased songs. The exciting news was shared on Prince’s official YouTube channel in which it reveals the album will become avaliable on July 30th. The video description states, “The statement album ‘Welcome 2 America’ documents Prince’s concerns, hopes, and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, disinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice.”

There will be 12 tracks on the album that were recorded in 2010 with artists such as bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, drummer Chris Coleman, and egineer Jason Agel. There were contibutions made by “New Power Generation singers Shelby J, Liv Warfield and Elisa Fiorillo.” In addition, we know that keyboardist Morris Hayes is featured in the album as co-producer.

Last but certainly not least, there will be a 32-page companion book – an envelope with exclusive nostalgic items such as a poster, print art, and backstage passes.
