My natural hair is color treated and prone to breakage, what can I do to prevent breakage and color fading? – Sally

Color treated hair is very delicate. Improper color application can cause breakage especially if your natural tresses are very fine. Implement moisture balance shampoos for color treated hair enriched with protein, along with deep conditioning the hair twice a month. Hair color will fade eventually, but it will fade more quickly when hair is damaged. To keep it from becoming more porous and brittle, avoid bleach, shampoo infrequently, and only get highlights every eight weeks. Try not to heat-style more than a few times a week, and alway use a protective styling agent prior.
