In the phenomenal role of Watts, she is Nick Bannister’s friend and confidant. Their complex chemistry creates an “I am because who you are” factor, Newton explains. “The value of genuine concern for him wakes her up about things within (themselves).” It’s this onscreen chemistry that creates one of many intriguing layers for the audience’s enjoyment.
