We sat down with Hollywood power couple, Holly Robinson Peete, and Rodney Peete to find out more about their new reality show, Queen’s Court, where they share the secrets and success to their 28-year marriage with Tamar Braxton, Evelyn Lozada & Nivea. Check out why they chose to take on dishing out love advice to other celebrities and the reason this show is a must-watch for ladies and their men. Read on for a snippet of our chat and watch the full interview below.

What drew you to want to host this show?

(Holly): We actually really love this genre—we love dating shows. Rodney and I have been watching them together, its kind of like our couple’s TV time—you know, when you’ve been married almost three decades (laughs) the things that you kind of do together kind of evolve. We got into them a lot and then we were offered to be part of Queen’s Court. We found the concept very intriguing—that you take three celebrity women who have been through a lot of public exposure and have really lived their lives out loud, and the opportunity to help them find love? Our big question was: ‘are they really in it for that?’

(Rodney): We were excited because it was different—we’re talking about three women that were in their 40s, who’d had their careers, that were in the public eye—something that we both can relate to. And then getting the men…the men that would come on board that were similar in age…I think through our life and through our journey, we had a lot of things that we thought we could bring to the table, and it worked out that way…We had an unbelievable time hosting the show, we had a lot of fun!

(Holly): Yeah, we did— we were so invested!
