Brace yourselves! The first black Bachelor of The Bachelor franchise has just been revealed.
Matt James is the new Bachelor and leading man that will go on his journey to finding love.
Rachel Lindsey made history as the first black female black lead of The Bachelorette back in 2017.

ABC announced the news on Good Morning America stating, they are “privileged to have Matt” as the first black Bachelor.
For many years, both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette has been called out for their lack of diversity so this is another step forward in progress.
Matt James was previously cast to take part on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette.
