If you’re not hip to 42 Dugg... you’re welcome. Hailing from Detroit, the rising star is signed to Lil Baby’s 4PF label and Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint, with one of the coldest, rawest voices in the rap game. It’s one thing to have the ability to spit bars and rap, it’s another to touch the souls of audiences all around the world. 42 Dugg comes from the trenches, and he lets it be known in his music.

On Saturday, September 26th, 42 Dugg took over The Novo in downtown Los Angeles, right across the street from Staples Center where Lil Baby brought him out twice the night prior. Currently on his Young N Turnt tour, 42 Dugg had diamonds glistening around his neck and on his wrists, with a green shit that said “Sex Records” on the back.

The funniest part of the evening came when Dugg asked 5 bad bitches to come on stage to twerk, even offering $2K to the winner who could do it best. Sadly, they were a let down. Dugg’s hour long set consisted of old songs to new songs, from “Dog Food” to of “We Paid” and “Grace” (both featuring Lil Baby).

And you know if you’re in LA, there’s bound to be special guests. First was Yo Gotti himself, as he performed “Put A Date On It” and “Act Right.” Then came Blocboy JB who did “Look Alive” and “Shoot,” the latter being his signature dance move.

The show ended with “Maybach” featuring Future, a standout track from Dugg’s most recent album titled Free Dem Boyz.
