With several well-known swim collections, can you tell us about your newest swim line release?

The name of the line is ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi’, which stands for “A quality that cannot be described or named easily”. This collection was designed with the woman in mind, who likes to come into a room and make a statement. Rather a board room, red carpet gala, or a night out with the girls. I design clothes for women to make a statement. It’s a resort wear collection, for swimwear, ready-to-wear, and cocktail attire.

What was your inspiration behind the design of this collection?

The inspiration behind the collection was for women to make a statement. It’s a resort wear collection, with a touch of swimwear, ready-to-wear, and cocktail attire. This Collection was to not only make women feel sexy, but bold and fearless.

With there being several different swimwear collections, how does your collection stand out?

Our collection is a luxury line, using luxury fabrics to make beautiful swimwear, kimonos, ready to wear pieces. Our fabrics are bright and vibrant and of quality, coming together being styled with the shoes and jewelry to compliment.

During Miami Fashion Week 2022, you will also be hosting several shows. Can you tell us more about them and what guests can expect?

Guests are to expect me to be the headline designer in three shows. The “Wave Show” was produced by ‘Flashing Lights’ which also featured a performance by Ginuwine. “Swim the Globe”, a long-running Miami swim week show, and “Miami Sustainable Swim Week”. All shows were well attended and we were able to showcase bright brilliant beautiful elegant pieces with colorful palettes. The crowd was very respective and were invited back next season.

Aside from the upcoming fashion shows, what else do you have coming up that you can share?

We have a number of events coming up. The fashion and lifestyle party during the NMA conference in Atlanta. New York fashion week where we will show for two shows. And the Moorehouse vs Howard Classic game, in September. We also have the Ubiquitous Fashion and Beauty expo, where we will be merchants.

What advice would you give to others looking to step into the fashion industry as a designer?

Stay focused on your craft, and identify your niche and client. Always improve your design and be very focused on your target customer. Always promote and market your brand, keeping your designs consistent. I design clothes for women to make them feel elegant, sophisticated, and powerful.
