Adele’s highly anticipated Las Vegas residency has been postponed just one day before it was set to begin. In an apologetic video posted on Instagram, the “Easy on Me” singer broke down as she shared the news with the world. The reason for the postponement? COVID.

Although fans appreciated the heartfelt apology, many support Adele and agree with her decision to postpone the shows.

One fan said, “OMG, QUEEN, WE LOVE YOU. DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT.” Another said, “I admire your vulnerability and honesty. Be well, stay healthy, and take the time you need.” Thousands of supportive fans flooded the comment section of the Instagram post with hopes to ensure Adele that they will stick by her through thick and thin.

“Aww… honey! It’s Okay! Do what you need to do to make it great! Although for the record—I’m pretty sure you could put some yoga’s and a hoodie on, and we will come see you!”

The series of shows, called Weekends with Adele, was set to begin Friday at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and would’ve run through April 16. The Grammy award winner said she and her team ‘tried absolutely everything’ to put the show together in time, but COVID and delays destroyed every possible solution.

“It’s been impossible to finish the show, and I can’t give you what I have right now. I’m tired,’ Adele said. “I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out, and we’ve run out of time,” Adele said tearfully.

All shows will be rescheduled.
