Alexis AKA Yung BBQ takes our timelines back to the late ’90s era with reenactments of iconic celebrities.
Viral dancer Alexis Feacher known as Yung BBQ graced our social media timelines in 2019 with her dance impersonations of iconic celebrities like Tina Turner, Beyoncé, and Missy Elliott. Feacher began dancing at five-years-old for the Royal Theater, a historic Black academy in the city. The now 21-year-old St. Petersburg, FL native is on the rise to stardom that began right in her mother’s living room.
“My friends were rapping the lyrics to “Walker Texas Ranger,” since I didn’t know the lyrics – I started dancing in the background and really feeling myself.” Within 24 hours, BBQ’s video was shared by celebrities and comedians, which led her to becoming a viral sensation. “At first, I was going to delete the video because it wasn’t doing good. I decided to keep it up with the caption.”
