Get ready because a biogrraphical documentary on Oprah Winfrey is coming!

It was just revealed that Apple TV+ has ordered a two-part documentary that will focus on the life of Oprah Winfrey.

Deadline has reported that, “the new doc will chronicle 25 years of American history through the lens of one show and one woman who rose from humble roots to become a globally famous talk show host, producer, actress, and philanthropist.”

Kevin MacDonald is set to direct the two-part documentary while Rolake Bamgbose will serve as showrunner. Lisa Espamer and her company Happy Street Entertainment will partner with MacDonald for this project.

The two have previously teamed up in order to release Whitney Houston’s biographical documentary titled, Whitney.

We know that Winfrey’s production company, Harpo has been working with Apple in order to expand its unscripted shows following the multi-year deal that was signed back in 2018.
