Former Vogue Editor, André Leon has just released his second memoir.

The new memoir titled, Chiffon Trenches features his take on what it’s like to be a high-ranking black man in fashion journalism.

In an official statement, Leon said, “I never separated from my Blackness.” He added, “My Blackness is what made me.”

His first autobiography A.L.T.: A Memoir was based on his relationship with foremer Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Diana Vreeland and shared how the North Carolina native navigated his way through the fashion industry. The book released in 2003.
