R&B singer-songwriter Aqyila has always been passionate about sharing her peace through music and aims to help uplift people with her art. Her latest track, “OH!” out now via Sony Music Entertainment Canada, blends melodic tunes with catchy hooks to offer a complete vibe to the listeners. Check it out HERE.

Aqyila reclaims her broken heart throughout the powerful R&B record, and delivers a powerful message about self-love.

“The making of “OH!” was so amazing and fluid,” Aqyila says. “That’s the beauty of music, when you hear a song and you’re able to connect it to a memory, it means even more to you. I love when a song tells a story.”

“OH!” was recorded during the Tiktok-celebrated singer’s second trip to Los Angeles after signing to Sony Music Canada.

“This song is going to showcase my vocal range, which is exciting as I am a fan of a good riff and run,” she explained. “This song was produced by Phinisey and written by the talented Trey Campbell during my second Los Angeles trip!”

Aqyila collaborated with pensman Trey Campbell (Ella Mai, HER, Giveon, John Legend) and producer Phinisey (Jessie Reyez, Qveen Herby) on this record.

Following her high-tempo, sexy-charged and energy-forward single “Pressure,” Aqyila’s latest offering “OH!” continues to set the tone for what’s next for the R&B songstress. Bundled as part of her upcoming EP, she intends to create a cohesive project that embodies “upbeat vibes, love songs, self-reflection and a dash of heartbreak.”

Aqyila is primed to take over the music industry with her unique prowess that has seen her bag a JUNO Award nomination for her song “Vibe for Me (Bob for Me)” and a record deal with Sony Music Canada.

The Toronto-based starlet has revealed her excitement at the release of “OH!” describing it as a song intended to empower people that feel they deserve better in relationships.

“This is a ‘taking back your power’ and realizing you can ‘see through the facade’ type of energy,” Aqyila continues. “It’s a wake-up call, letting the listener know that if you or someone you know is fed up with how they are being treated, it’s time to leave.”
