Always bet on BET Plus to produce exceptional Black Cinema and Television. One Night Stay is the latest psychological thriller from BET Plus and it serves up satisfying thrills, twists, and turns that did everything, but disappoint.

Sheen Magazine was on the screen with Grammy award winning icon and legend, LeToya Luckett, formally OWN TV’s Greenleaf antagonist, coupled with the brilliance of Executive Producer, Stephen Bishop from Being Mary Jane, discussing their portrayal of Milia and Marcus—a prosperous power couple living in a palatial palace. Milia and Marcus appear to be having a rift in their marriage due to a setback in Marcus’ profession, but this film epitomizes that there is much more to all things, that meet the eye. After Marcus has a one-night stand in the home with antagonist Annie, played by Iyana Halley from Lifetimes Black Girl Missing, the serial philanderer repudiates her. Immeasurable creepiness commences when Annie secretly moves into the mansion.

One Night Stay is saturated with legends, such as Grammy award nominated rapper, MC Lyte, who pulls up ready for action, as Milia’s wise confidant, Jazmine. Essence Atkins appears as April, one of Marcus’ little “friends.” Robert Christopher Riley from Dynasty and Hit The Floor plays Andre, while Bold and The Beautiful writer andstar, Lawrence Saint Victor depicts Luke. Visual Effects Artist forBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever, Curtis Cardwell makes his writer debut with the One Night Stay screen play, with Rick Mordecon as the Director.

When the cast was asked how creating this film improved their personal and professional awareness’ and attention to detail, the Destiny’s Child member agreed that her vigilance has increased, especially after learning that there are many true stories of people hiding and living in other people’s homes. Luckett says her fear of acting in a thriller was quelled as well, because previously she would decline thriller roles. “I don’t know if I needed One Night Stay to improve my attention to detail,” Essence Atkins joked. The Half and Half star says that One Night Stay reminds people to be aware of pariah’s and that there are some that will attach themselves to you.“It’s important for us to be guardians of our safety.” Stephen Bishop offers that One Night Stay gave him an opportunity for more attentiveness on set, especially with his own responsibilities and it allowed for the EP to be more involved in observation and facilitation.
