Five-time Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian and beloved icon Betty White has died mere weeks before her 100th birthday. As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources say she passed away at her home before 9:30 Friday morning.

Most famous for her role as Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, Betty’s career began in 1939. Her start in the late ’30s catapulted her into the longest career for any woman in TV history. With tons of roles and appearances, her presence on and off the screen will be missed by many.

We send our condolences to her friends and family. Rest well, Betty.
