This weekend, the 2020 BET Awards will be taking place!

We’ve just learned that Beyoncé will be honored with the Humanitarian Award.

Variety has reported that Queen B will be honored for her BeyGOOD initative and her contributions though her Formation Scholarships. These scholarships help and ecourage young women throughout college. She’s previously teamed up with UNICEF in order to create BeyGOOD4Burundi.

This initative brings safe water and sanitation to Burundi. More recently, Beyoncé has teamed up with the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey in order to provide $6 million in funding to organizations that provide mental and wellness health services.

If you didn’t know, she hopped on Megan Thee Stallion’s single “Savage Remix.” Proceeds from the single benefit Bread of Life’s Houston COVID-19 relief efforts. In addition, she launched a COVID-19 testing initative in Houston, Texas.

This year’s BET Awards will include tributes to Kobe Bryant and Little Richard. Lil Wayne will perform and tribute Kobe while Wayne Brady will take on the tribute to Little Richard.

Artists such as Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and many more artists are set to perform.
