The original White Men Can’t Jump will forever remain one of the top basketball movies of all-time. Released in 1992, the film celebrated the streetball hustling culture of Los Angeles.

Fast forward to 2023, 20th Century Studios returns with the new modern day version of White Men Can’t Jump, which hits streaming on Hulu on May 19th. The new movie stars Sinqua Walls as Kamal, a promising hooper who somehow derails his future, and Platinum-selling rapper Jack Harlow who makes his acting debut as Jeremy, a former basketball star whose injuries stalled his career.

The storyline goes, both hoopers face the realities of life, including financial pressures, relationships, and internal battles. But while it seems they both come from different worlds, they find they have more in common than they think!

On Wednesday, April 19th, Sheen attended an exclusive screening for White Men Can’t Jump, taking place at Cinemark 18 & XD in Inglewood. The director Calmatic was present, alongside Sinqua Walls. After the screening, an exclusive afterparty transpired at Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen with drinks, appetizers, and photo opps. 

The film also stars Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Vince Staples, Myles Bullock and Lance Reddick, and produced by Kenya Barris and Paul Hall. Executive producers include Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, Noah Weinstein, Calmatic, Doug Hall, E. Brian Dobbins and James Powers.
