Now lets get into what Grant has to share as he discusses his music and latest endeavors!
What inspired you to pursue a career in dance and music?
Watching Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
Who are some of your inspirations in the entertainment industry? How have they impacted your life?
Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, and Madonna just to name a few because of how they all are impeccable performers in their own way! Childish Gambino, John Mayer, Migos, Drake, Future, Queen, The Beatles, and Robin Thicke more on the musical side.
What message do you wish to convey during performances? What should a viewer take away from your performance?
Feeling! Whatever I feel when I’m performing, I want them to feel excitement, truth, energy, sadness, realness, and how serious I am about being a performer.
What are you most proud of accomplishing in your career so far?
Being cast as one of Michael Jackson’s dancers for the “This Is It” tour. It was and still is the most memorable time of my life.
What advice would you offer someone considering a career in dance/music?
I would challenge people to find yourself, believe in yourself, and never give up! Learn from everyone and everything around you! Self-love and determination is key!
What do you want to be remembered by as an entertainer/performer?
How I put so much love and effort into being the best entertainer I could be to inspire others out there like me.
What can we look forward to this year? Any new collaborations/projects? Will we be hearing new music?
My team has so many things in line and not to mention the other great things that come along the way. Shows, television, film, choreography and most importantly new music!
