We’re heading into the hotter months, and it’s time we revamp our beauty regimens just as much as our wardrobes. The summer heat tends to cause more sweat, oil production, and dehydration of the skin, leaving us more susceptible to developing breakouts. At the same time, activities like swimming in chlorinated water can cause our skin to be dull and itchy. Thankfully, we have options to help alleviate our summer woes, many of which include the botanical ingredient, tea tree oil.
Tea Tree oil is an element that I like to find in my hair care products for dandruff relief; however, it’s a great, multipurpose remedy for treating hair, nail, and skin conditions. With a long history of medicinal use, the cleansing oil is derived from leaves of the Australian native plant Melaleuca alternifolia, also known as the tea tree. Tea tree oil soothes dry skin, reduces and prevents acne scars, and helps relieve itchiness and irritation. The essential oil is a popular pick for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic properties.
Kiss New York Professional just launched their new Tea Tree Collection and I’m so here for it. The collection includes three, tea tree oil-infused products aimed to unclog pores, gently exfoliate, and calm the skin. With tea tree oil as the key ingredient, you can treat oily, dry, or acne-prone skin with the beauty brand’s new and simple skin care essentials. Here’s what to expect from the collection:
A Tea Tree Oil Control Moisturizer. This moisturizer is formulated to give you clearer-looking skin, without the extra shine. It quickly absorbs and hydrates the skin while controlling oil, blemishes, and irritation. Along with tea tree oil, the formula includes extract cica that assists with cellular repair and collagen production. After cleansing my face, I spread on the oil control moisturizer and it definitely leaves an all-day matte and firm-looking finish without a sticky residue..
The collection also includes a Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Clay Mask, which is my personal favorite. I like to use face masks that get the job done without leaving my skin feeling dry and itchy, and I especially love that this tea tree clay mask instantly absorbs excess oil but doesn’t dehydrate or irritate my skin. The mask gently exfoliates impurities, deeply cleanses pores, and is blended with salicylic acid, cica, and red bean powder that are all transformative ingredients for skin healing and restoration..
Before masking, make sure your skin is clean and completely dry. Then, apply a thin layer of the Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Clay Mask to the face. The salicylic acid targets whiteheads and blackheads, so I like to dab a little extra on my nose and forehead. Let the mask sit and dry for about 10 to 15 minutes. In the meantime, I relax and enjoy the smell of the tea tree. It’s so soothing! Once completely dry, massage the settled clay mask on your skin with warm water in a circular motion. This allows the red bean powder flakes to exfoliate the dead skin cells and impurities. You can then finish with a warm water rinse. After each use, my skin feels very cottony and refreshed.
What’s a Tea Tree Collection without a product that strictly targets pimples? If you’re looking for a quick and safe pimple-fighter, then you’ll appreciate Kiss New York Professional’s Tea Tree Invisible Acne Patches. Made with tea tree oil, hydrocolloid, and cica, these innovative patches are small but mighty. Best when left on overnight, the acne patches visibly correct pimples. These “barely there,” adhesive patches are super durable, contamination free, and hassle free. My teenage sister and I both tried the acne patches for a few pimples that we had, and were wowed when we woke up to noticeably faded pimples the following day. With an easy application, the Tea Tree Invisible Acne Patches are great fixes to quickly clear up pimple pop-ups. If you are experiencing frequent breakouts or severe acne, speak with a medical professional about treatment options. With summer on its way, the Tea Tree Collection by Kiss New York Professional can be super beneficial to those who are looking for minimal, gentle, and effective products that combat oil and blemishes, while improving the overall appearance of the skin. That said, the Tea Tree Collection is particularly perfect for oily skin, or mild to moderate acne. Plus, the aroma of tea tree oil is subtle yet vibrant, and I can’t get over its crisp, fresh, and earthy scent in each of the products!
