Congratulations are in order because a fashion icon is being honored and he’s making history doing so!
Dapper Dan will be honored with the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s event! With this, Dapper Dan becomes the first Black designer to be honored with the award. Dan is known for his logo design and textile printing in the ’80s and ’90s.
The CFDA Fashion Awards will take place on November 10th at the Seagram Building’s Pool + The Grill on Park Avenue.
Actress, Zendaya is also set to receive the Fashion Icon Award, making her the youngest star to be honored with this award! Congratulations to these two making history!
