For the past few days, I’ve been taking my daily dose of two, tasty retinol gummies for glowy and healthy skin. The Retinol Gummy is a Big-8 allergen-free dietary supplement that supports healthy skin from the inside out. The cleanser removes my makeup effortlessly, and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed.
The concept of using oil to remove oil seemed contradictory to me at first; however, it actually makes a lot of sense. The scientific principle that “like attracts like” has led brands to create oil-based cleansers that use nourishing oils to lift excess sebum (an oily substance produced by glands in our skin) and makeup, which is also oil-based. Oil can lift oil-based, oil-free, and waterproof makeup, which is why a lot of makeup removers have oil in them. Oil Cleansers capture the makeup, unwanted pollutants, dead skin, and extra oils, allowing you to wipe them away with a cotton pad or washcloth.
Compared to a water-based cleanser, oil cleansers are more gentle and suitable for all skin types. Water-based cleansers also primarily rid the skin of everything on its surface including natural oils, while oil-based cleansers tackle clogged pores, like whiteheads, but keep the skin balanced and not deprived of hydration. Forget double cleansing, and just add water. Yes, it’s that simple. To use, massage a couple of pumps of the One & Done Oil Cleanser onto dry skin with your fingers to break down the debris. Then, add a little bit of water to emulsify the cleanser into a milky lotion. Rinse away the excess and pat dry. Immediately my face is left clean and looking bright. I’m a big fan of creams, so although not necessary, I follow up with a moisturizer for that extra moisture.
