Clara Hubbard is a force to be reckoned with—an advocate, a media luminary, and a champion for change. Her journey is a testament to the power of passion, purpose, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. From her roots in advocacy to her groundbreaking work in media and nonprofit leadership, Clara Hubbard’s story is one of resilience, determination, and boundless compassion.

Born into a legacy of advocacy, Clara’s path was paved by her mother, Barbara Hubbard, whose work at The Chicago Urban League in Social Services ignited Clara’s passion for serving those in need. This early exposure to community service laid the foundation for Clara’s lifelong commitment to advocating for marginalized communities, particularly senior citizens.

In May 2011, Clara Hubbard founded Senior Talk with Clara Hubbard, a platform dedicated to empowering older Americans to live independently and with dignity. For Clara, the pivotal moment propelling her into advocacy and social change was rooted in a deep desire to ensure that seniors received the quality of life they deserve.

Balancing her responsibilities in the media with her passion for senior citizens’ rights and well-being has been challenging for Clara. Yet, every morning begins with gratitude and devotion as Clara seeks guidance from a higher power. Through listening to the wisdom and experiences of seniors—whom she affectionately refers to as “People Getting Better with Age”—Clara finds the strength to carry out her mission.

As the founder of Senior Talk Media, NFP, Clara has leveraged her media presence to amplify the voices and concerns of senior citizens, particularly in the realm of voting rights and political participation. In 2020, she launched the #seniorvotesmatter campaign to empower seniors with the knowledge and resources to navigate the voting process confidently. Clara’s advocacy efforts have left an indelible mark on the political landscape, from town halls to voter registration drives.

Looking ahead to the upcoming election, Clara remains steadfast in her commitment to safeguarding and uplifting seniors’ rights and participation. Through partnerships with faith-based, civic, and community organizations, Clara is working tirelessly to ensure that every older American is equipped to exercise their right to vote.

Clara’s answer is simple yet profound when asked what message she would like to impart to readers inspired by her journey: “Every human has a life assignment matching your passion. I encourage you to accept it and start at it.” As she continues to live out her purpose, Clara Hubbard serves as a beacon of hope, empowerment, and advocacy for communities near and far.

In a world hungry for change, Clara Hubbard leads the charge—one voice, one vote, and one act of kindness at a time.
