Get ready because the new Met Gala is coming!

Fashion’s biggest night is returning tonight after being cancelled last year due to the ongoing pandemic.

This year, Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka are the Met Gala’s co-chairs with designer Tom Ford and head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour serving as honoary chairs.

This year’s event will be a more intimate gathering. The event’s theme is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” in the Anna Wintour Costume Center – meaning that the audience can expect a tour of fictional American house.

Each room will feature examples of 20th and 21st century fashion, while focusing on a different emotion. Every guest is required to be fully vaccinated and wear a mask indoors while attending the Gala.

The Met Costume Institute’s “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” series kicks off with “A Lexicon of Fashion,” opening Sept. 18 at the Anna Wintour Costume Center and marking the Costume Institute’s 75th anniversary.

The second installment of the exhibition, “An Anthology of Fashion,” will open May 5, 2022.
