Tonight, the 92nd Academy Awards is going to take place and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate all the achievements in television and film within the past year. We rounded up all the important facts you need to know before tuning into the big show!

When will the Oscars take place?

The annual award show will be taking place tonight, Sunday February 9th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood! The big show starts at 8 PM EST.

Who is hosting this year?

There is no host for this year’s show. Just like last year, there will no one emceeing the ceremony but have no fear because last year’s show actually ran smooth and reportly views increased from the previous years.

Who leads the nominations?

Joker leads this year’s pack with 11 total nominations this year. There are a total of nine movies that are up for Best Picture including Parasite and Little Women. Scarlett Johansson is nominated for awards such as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. In addition, Cynthia Erivo is the only African American actor to recieve an acting nomination for her role in Harriet. This year, Netflix earned over 20 nominations!

Who will present this year?

You can expect many of your favorite stars to present this year including Mahershala Ali, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Rami Malek, and more!

Who will perform this year?

Nominated actress, Cynthia Erivo will perform the song “Stand Up” from the movie Harriet, Elton John will perform the song “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from the film Rocketman, and Randy Newman will sing “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” from Toy Story 4.

We also know that This Is Us star, Chrissy Metz “I’m Standing With You” from Breakthrough while Idina Menzel and Aurora will perform “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2.

Honoring Kobe Bryant

This year, the awards will honor the late NBA legend and Oscar award-winner Kobe Bryant. Bryant passed away on January 26th in a helicopter crash that included a total of nine passengers.
