The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards is happening this weekend and we have a feeling it’s going to be a show you don’t want to miss!

This year’s ceremony will mark the 29th anniversary although it is only the fourth time that television will be honored in addition to film.

When is the big show?

The main event will take place on Sunday, May 16th at 9 PM EST from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. In addition, the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted will air on Monday, May 17th at 9 PM EST.

Who is hosting?

This year, Leslie Jones will host the main event while comedian, Nikki Glaser will host the Unscripted show – which will honor fan-favorites in reality television.

Where can you tune in?

The live two-hour event will air on MTV and stream on Paramount+. In addition, you can catch it on streaming services such as AT&T TV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV.

Who is nominated this year?

This year, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Judas and the Black Messiah, Promising Young Woman, Soul and To All the Boys: Always and Forever are all up for Best Movie while The Boys, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, Emily in Paris and WandaVision are all in the running for Best Show.

Who is being honored?

This year, Scarlett Johansson is the recipient of the Generation Award and Sacha Baron Cohen will be honored with the Comedic Genius Award.
