How cool would it be to enter a new world of horror virtually? There’s only a little over a week until Universal Picture and Jordan Peele’s NOPE highly anticipated release on July 22. However, if you’re a horror fan and can’t seem to shake the excitement, Meta Quest 2 has an experience inspired by NOPE and other Peele films in Horizon Worlds that’ll feed you until the film comes out.

All Aboard the Monkeypaw train! This surreal VR experience that you can enter Tuesday (July 12) begins with you as a passenger on the train before traveling to other worlds. Once inside, you’ll find yourself exploring the cabins and finding Easter eggs from the films NOPE, Get Out, and US.

After that, you’ll get a chance to get deeper into NOPE World: by Monkeypaw Productions, where you’ll experience a recreation of Haywood Ranch from the film’s trailers and several more miniature games and interactive elements. A horror fan’s dream, right?!

Katie Jones, NA Studio Partnerships Lead at Meta, said this is the ultimate unique experience for moviegoers.

“Through this VR experience we’ve developed with Universal and Monkeypaw, people can fully immerse themselves in Jordan Peele’s cinematic artistry,” Jones said. “This is a unique opportunity for moviegoers to explore this world with fellow fans and for our partners to connect with their audiences in innovative ways.”

Suppose you’re worried about spoilers; no need to stress yourself out! Meta and Monkeypaw worked with a diverse team of veteran creators, Ashley Briley, Matt Torres, and Samantha Nunoo, from the Horizon World community. They weren’t given any information about the plot or theme of the film outside of the trailers.

All Aboard and NOPE World are out now in Horizon Worlds and can be downloaded for FREE on Quest 2. Horizon Worlds is available to users 18+ in the US, Canada, and the UK.
