This just in, Little Richard – founding father of rock and roll has just passed away. The aritst, best known for his hits “Tutti Frutti” and “Good Golly Miss Molly” passed Saturday morning.
Danny Jones Penniman, Little Richard’s son confirmed the death to Rolling Stone and stated the cause of death was unknown.
Little Richard was born on December 5th, 1932. He first hit the music scene back in the ’50s and sold over 30 million records worldwide!
He became one of the 10 original inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was later honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys in 1993.
Rest in peace Little Richard.
