Sheen recently sat down with Noura Almasri, EA as she shared her passion for helping Non-Profit Organizations through her personal activist journey!  Today she continues to help the 501(c)3 organizations by assuring they remain financially compliance.  She’s a brand-new author of the book Tax Strategies for Small Businesses.  In the book, she showcases her expertise as an IRS Enrolled Agent – one of the highest positions in the organization allowed to represent taxpayers.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Working as an accounting and tax professional, I was pretty content serving Corporate America. I am highly skilled at preparing large companies for tax season and managing complex financial systems within a deep network. My job was to squeeze every dollar for its maximum value to ultimately serve the bottom line. It wasn’t until the Arab Spring of 2011 that my focus started to change. My involvement in the world of nonprofit suddenly became deeply personal. As a Syrian immigrant, born and raised, I was profoundly affected by the revolution that took over my home region. Worried about the state of the world, I joined forces as an activist, speaking publicly against the violence, and fundraising for nonprofits to support citizens on the ground. I focused my efforts on asking for individual donations with the “don’t ask don’t get” mentality. By the end of my tenure, I had raised close to $10M for various nonprofits, and I continue to serve nonprofits to nurture their mission, grow their cause, and maximize every donation that enters into their organization. As your Independent Chief Financial Officer, I can take away the challenges of fundraising for your nonprofit and help your organization grow long-term. I will help you implement the right financial models, management systems, and fundraising planning, so that you can maximize your efforts in the right place. Your struggles don’t have to come at a cost when you have a professional by your side.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

In my opinion the real challenge for business owners is finding the right team member who are loyal, and deliver a quality work and keep them motivated. I now can say I have a great team that cares about Noura’s books and my success as much as I do. And I am looking forward to grow together.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

We also help nonprofit consultants increase cash flow with implementing Tax Strategies. To list my services: CFO Services, Tax Planning, Tax Preparation, Tax Resolution, I also offer courses to Tax Professionals, nonprofits, and Business owners who wants DIY service. My Signature program helps nonprofit scale to 7 figures which includes 12 months coaching.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

If you want to do something great, find a mentor or coach has a successful track record and learn from them via coaching or mentorship; it’s faster and cheaper and the investment wouldn’t matter.  Your return on the investments will end up saving you time, money, and heartbreaks.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is finding the best and straightforward tools to reach your goals while taking care of yourself in all aspects.
