Last weekend Grind Pretty Fest held another successful meetup for boss babes. The fest was held in the heart of Atlanta, GA and several came from all over to attend. This powerful two-day fest including several amazing honorees such as;  Nzinga Imani – actor (Sistas + Zatima)/model, Rashan Ali – media personality/ Actor (All the Queens Men), Melissa Proctor – VP & CMO of The Atlanta Hawks + State Farm Arena, Candace Mitchell Harris – Founder/CEO of MyAvana, Jasmine Crowe-Houston – Philanthropist and Founder/CEO of Goodr, and Dr. Jarett Manning – Dentist and CEO of Honey Envy. In addition to the lineup of honorees there were interactive workshops geared towards branding building, health and wellness, and so much more.

Grind Pretty founded by celebrity makeup artist Mimi Jo; focuses on female entrepreneurs and businesswomen from all walks of life getting the chance to network and partner with other female entrepreneurs.  Mimi Jo who started the brand that has now single handedly brought additional brand awareness to smaller brands and programs that may not have otherwise received recognition or notoriety. This year Grind Pretty was themed in 90’s style which was fun, colorful, and vivid. The fest included an elevator pitch competition, performances, great food, great vibes, a shopping experience, and so much more. Along with all of those experiences, gems were being dropped by the special guest speakers; Carmen Aziz, Dr. KC Fox, Rosezena “TheBizLawyer” Pierce, Marketing By Monrae, Maui Bigelow, Mz Skittlez, ZsaVette Ellis Eze, and so many more.

Music artist Gloss Up was featured on the JAN/FEB cover. Gloss Up exudes girl power and boss babe vibes so what a cover. In addition to a popping girl boss, popular and powerful girl group 702 took the stage Saturday night to perform some of their early hits. The girl group was missing its 3 shining stars, Irish who recently passed away. Nonetheless the love from the group and along with the dancing and singing their songs word for word let them know just how much of a powerful impact they made on their fellow boss babes’ lives. Along with that iconic performance; there were additional performances from Jade Novah, Gloss Up, Jai, and ShySpeaks. Those nostalgic moments along with the pink carpet attendees and special guests made this year’s Grind Pretty Fest one for the books. We can not wait until the next ones.

We want all our SHEEN boss babes to know that you are all literally, “Grind Pretty”, per this year’s honoree; Rashan Ali. Make sure that you continue to expand your brand and absorb all that you can and always know that there’s no mountain too big or small to climb. There is a sisterhood just waiting to embrace you.
