As one half of the singer-songwriter duo ChloexHalle, Halle Bailey showcased her musical talents—garnering multiple Grammy nominations and appearing on ABC’s Grownish alongside her sister. She’s prospering even more as a solo talent, living underwater as Ariel in 2023’s The Little Mermaid, embodying the role of young Nettie in The Color Purple, and releasing her first solo Grammy-nominated single “Angel.”

Bailey is a young superstar whose crown never tilts even though critics nitpick her every move—attempting to belittle her and dim her light. However, the brightness never dims, and she commits to winning in all phases of her career and personal life.

The 23-year-old announced on Saturday, January 6, that she and hip-hop artist boyfriend DDG are first-time parents. The couple welcomed a baby boy named Halo to the world last year.

Bailey revealed the news in an Instagram post with a caption that reads, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son… welcome to the world my halo, the world is desperate to know you.”

The news was announced on her own terms, despite social media investigators’ attempts to reveal Bailey’s pregnancy. Despite how anyone feels, the multiskilled singer loves her new bundle of joy, and that’s all that matters.

Being a mom doesn’t prohibit Bailey from reaching new levels of success. It doesn’t limit her talent, what she can do creatively, and so forth. She will still look flawless on red carpets, dominate in every movie role, and win awards for her pen and voice.

She’s a rising star with no end to her accomplishments.
