After overcoming poverty, infertility, childhood traumas, and other systemic barriers Amazing Family Enterprises LLC owner, Tanerra Willis, set out to use transparency to inspire, motivate, and encourage others to improve their own lives.

Tell us about your picture book.

Tanerra: The Amazing Wethead is a children’s book about a young man who unknowingly turned into a superhero. As a superhero, he can use his water-based skills to apprehend bad guys. WETHEAD enjoys doing what most kids his age enjoy: sports, video games, and spending time with his family and friends. He also happens to be an amazing kid whose superpower is water. When Wethead smashes the ground, water comes up and surrounds the bad guys or washes them away. He can turn himself into a water-filled tornado to snatch up the bad guys or rescue the good ones.

What do you love most about being an author?

Tanerra: I love the opportunity to help others grow. Each of our books are written to inspire, encourage, and esteem others to be the best version of themselves.

What was it like helping your son write a book?

Tanerra: It was so fun helping him write a book. I loved our time together and seeing his creative side. It was my first introduction to his storytelling. He tells stories with such detail and excitement it makes me emotional each time. I am hoping he grows into his gift and shares it with the world. It comes so naturally to him, and we should all share our God-given gifts with others in a loving and giving way.

When did you know you wanted to be an author?

Tanerra: As a young lady I had aspirations of being an author but like many adults’ life can cause you to forget some of your dreams and aspirations. In the midst of me trying to inspire my son and share his story, I was reminded that this was once my desire and I had started a manuscript a year prior.
