Instagram has an exciting new feature, specifically for Black-owned business owners.
In an official statement, product leader Rachel Brooks said, “We’re allowing businesses who have shops to be able to identify as Black-owned.” Adding, “So this essentially means if they have the feature on, they’re able to have a label on their profile that says ‘Black-owned’ also on their product pages.”
Here’s how you can set up your business as ‘Black-owned’ on Instagram.
- Click ‘Edit Profile’
- Choose ‘Business Diversity Info
- ‘Then tap ‘Get Started’
- Turn on the ‘Show Black-owned business label’ feature – which will activate a ‘Black-owned’ label on your business profile and product pages.
