Issa Rae Steps Into Hair-Care Industry

This just in! Issa Rae is now the co-owner and face of Sienna Naturals.

Rae and the brand’s founder and CEO, Hannah Diop have rebranded the brand for clean products to provide those with curly, coily hair.

In an exclusive with Allure, Rae stated, “I think hair has always been a part of the conversation for me, and it’s been such a huge part of my identity.”

She added, “[Even my] debut was a big chop that I did for Awkward Black Girl.”

The range includes a Salon In a Box ($75) collection. Products included are: the H.A.P.I. Shampoo ($18), Dew Magic ($18) – a leave in conditioner, Plant Power ($22) – a treatment that softens the hair, and Lock & Seal ($22) – a hair oil.
