Jason Derulo will forever be the great pop star he is, but nowadays, he’s also recognized for his talents on social media. Boasting 26.6 million followers on Instagram and 57.9 million followers on TikTok, the “Whatcha Say” singer continues to break down barriers, creating heartfelt music and of course, hilarious viral content for his very loyal fanbase.

On Thursday, May 4th, Jason Derulo hosted an exclusive virtual listening party with Youtube Shorts, as audiences from all around the world entered the Google Meet to meet the man himself. The 30-minute event began with the music video of “Swalla,” featuring David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Jason, and Ty Dolla $ign.

Soon, Jason hopped on and gave one hell of an intro, even calling all the creators the “motherfuckers on the planet.” Sporting bright green hair, Jason introduced his new single titled “Glad U Came,” which he deemed one of his favorite songs he’s done. Two years in the making, the song was made to be this year’s summer anthem.

Jason states, “I knew this one was special. This is a song you want to sing to in the car, with your mama, your friends, anyone you care about. It’s just one of them ones. It’s about the power of destiny. If that person is there at the right time, at the right place. You can find your soulmate, but you have to be there. It’s really powerful.”

The rest of the time was spent chatting with fans, as they were able to personally ask Jason questions about his career and life.
