Jason Isbell has always exercised his passion for music through performing, and now the singer-songwriter, and guitarist is unveiling his new documentary titled JASON ISBELL: RUNNING WITH OUR EYES.

Boasting four Grammy awards to his name, Jason isbell is best known for his work with the band 400 Unit, as well as a member of Drive-By Truckers. Now, he takes fans on an unexpected journey that highlights his musical evolution and creative process behind his new album titled Reunions, alongside his band 400 Unit.

As always, music is meant to be vulnerable, and the new project sees Isbell wearing his heart on his sleeve as he opens up about his rough upbringing, his struggles with addiction and relationships, and funneling all his pain and trials and tribulations into his music. When Covid-19hit,Isbell was forced to lockdown, allowing him to confront all his self-doubt and fears that a recovering addict and artist must face within isolation. 

On Thursday, March 23rd, Isbell hosted an exclusive screening at The Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles, debuting his new documentary titled JASON ISBELL: RUNNING WITH OUR EYES CALLED. As part of HBO’s ongoing Music Box series, the film is directed directed and produced by Sam Jones (HBO’s “Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off”) and executive produced by Emmy® winners Mark and Jay Duplass (HBO’s “The Lady and the Dale”) and Simmons (HBO’s “Andre The Giant,” “Showbiz Kids”).

The screening was followed by a Q&A with Isbell, who also delivered a breath-taking acoustic performance shortly after (alongside his wife Amanda Shires).
