Journey Montana has officially arrived. The R&B It-girl capped off a breakout 2023 with her sophomore EP, Stargirl. It notably featured 2X Grammy-nominated recording artist Eric Bellinger (“Undefeated“) and gained major traction on streaming platforms.

Today, the burgeoning star is thrilled to announce her forthcoming debut studio album, Eclipse. The album, out later this year via 10K Projects, is one of the most important projects in Journey’s promising career. Not to mention, Eclipse is executive produced by DJ Camper (Ye, Doja Cat, H.E.R.) – who’s fresh off a Grammy win for Coco Jones’ hit single “ICU.”

In addition to the album announcement, Journey has released the lead single off the project. Aptly titled “Journey,” it serves as a poignant moment of self-discovery and honesty. “In this song, I’m speaking about my grandparents for the first time in my music,” Journey shares. “My personal struggles, my daddy issues, and other insecurities… I’m ready to lay it all on the line and share my truth.”

Now more than ever before, she embraces vulnerability and emotional depth in her songwriting. Like an open letter to the world, Journey reveals her journey through the ebbs and flows of human emotion, and her capacity to find harmony within chaos. The accompanying video encapsulates that moment, capturing the essence of her growth through it all – Watch HERE.

The former “All American” cast member made waves last year, amassing over 10 million streams across platforms. Eclipse is the first full-length offering from Journey since Stargirl, and the live rendition, Stargirl (Live Sessions). The EP skyrocketed into the Top 10 of US iTunes (debuting at #5) and was widely lauded by the likes of Essence, BET, and YouKnowIGotSoul to name a few.
