Kevin Gates’ forthcoming album The Ceremony drops on January 26th, and he’s celebrating early.

Hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kevin Gates has inserted himself as a mainstay in the rap game. Beyond having an extensive catalog of hit records, his dedicated fans have seen his remarkable transformation: from trapping in the streets to becoming a multi-Platinum selling rapper — to now embarking on this spiritual journey, with all glory going to the man above.

On Friday, January 19th, Kevin Gates hosted an intimate album release party for The Ceremony, taking over Savanna rooftop in downtown Los Angeles. The special evening was an all-black tie affair, with Kevin Gates stealing the show with his white tuxedo and black bow tie.

Upon entering, the vibes were immediately apparent. There was food, an open bar, a weed bar by Golden State, and even Kevin Gates debuting his new coffee brand called Folks. This serves as his newest venture in the entrepreneur space, with Folks being a new coffee brand that  help bring hip-hop culture into your coffee up. His blend is aptly called The General’s Ritual, with the picture printed on the bag reminiscent of the artwork for The Ceremony.

Not only was Kevin Gates in the best mood, going around the party smoking on a fat cigar, but he also took the stage to perform cuts from the new project. “Bird’s Calling” and “Yonce Freestyle” featuring Sexyy Red and B.G. were standout favorites.

Dreka Gates was also in attendance to support Kevin. Be sure to stream The Ceremony on January 26th when it releases!
