“And the award for best leading man in a movie and/or television series goes too…” is a phrase and an accolade that successful male actors work diligently to hear and covet.

Sheen Magazine was on the scene with co-curators Kevin Savage, Actor and Founder of Savage Brand Enterprises and Author, TV and Radio Host, Michelle Taylor Willis of Gagnant Media for their Leading Men of Film and Television Panel red carpet event. Set at Atlantuckey Brewing in Atlanta, Georgia at Grammy nominated rap quartet, Nappy Roots’ Black Owned brewery. Several budding and current leading Men of film and television showed up to showcase their multifaceted talents and to converse, network, and celebrate an evening of men in the arts. Industry professionals on the panel gave direct advice about becoming booked and busy in the competitive world of acting, sharing stories about the highs and lows in their journeys, and answering questions of the industry hopefuls in attendance. 

The panel consisted of the visualizer and creator of the event Kevin Savage, who has appeared in HBO’s, Lovecraft Country and most recently starring as Chris Wesley in one of the latest Christmas classics, Wesley Christmas on Bet +. Mr. Savage Kevin Savage says this is the first of several facets of upcoming panels for the Leading Series, such as Leading Women of Film and Television and Leading Directors. Up and coming hotel owner Julian Brittano from the OWN Networks TV series Greenleaf, was giving leading man, mob boss vibes. Tray Chaney, who starred as Malik in the critically acclaimed series, The Wire and Saints and Sinners, filled the room with his energy. Catch him in upcoming episodes of BMF Season 2. SAG-AFTRA certified member, Rico Ball was in the building, and you have seen him in a plethora of TV series and movies such as Black Lightning, Sistas, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and Life-Size 2.
