This past weekend, we celebrated Juneteenth – which marks African Americans’ emancipation from slavery in Texas in the year 1865. Two years later, the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. People are the world took part in celebrating and participating in the big day.

One of those people was “Truth Hurts” singer, Lizzo. Lizzo shared a philanthropic video which looked similar to her iconic album cover, Cuz I Love You. Lizzo wanted to celebrate the big day by giving back to black organizations and businesses.
