Global Citzen will be taking place online this year. Because of the COVID-19 spread, Global Citizen will partner with WHO (world Health Organization) to host “One World: Together At Home” for a live concert! Comedians, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert will host the digital broadcast and raise money for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and celebrate health care workers.
The fund has already raised $30 million dollars! Money raised will help local and regional charities and provide food, shelter, health care to those affected by COVID-19.
You can expect performances from Alanis Morissette, John Legend Elton John, Billie Eilish, Kacey Musgraves, Stevie Wonder, Lizzo, Andrea Bocelli, and more! Throughout the concert, you’ll see guest appearances from celebrities such as Idris and Sabrina Elba, David Beckham, Priyanka Copra Jonas, and Kerry Washington.
The broadcast will air on Saturday, April 18th at 8 PM EST.
It will stream on Amazon Prime Video, Instagram, YouTube, ABC, NBC, and iHeart Media.
