Building a notable following on TikTok with her wife that has garnered millions of impressions, professional work within the media hosting realm with platforms such as Shay Star Radio, Power 101.7 VIP room, University Of Maryland Eastern Shore radio, and being the daughter of the late, legendary DJ Dragon Cutts of Baltimore’s 92Q has positioned Ashley “Bam Bam” Harris into a great position as a ascending star within the world of hosting.

She has overcome many different obstacles and wishes to share her story via heartfelt to inspire her fellow creatives worldwide looking to build their own legacies. Ashley is eccentric and electric, in her own words.

“Being a host or shall I say MC because a lot of people have changed the dynamic of what a host is a host is normally the cute girl or guy that gets paid to be in the section when, in fact, I am the master of ceremonies I am the one that curates the vibe get people up and dancing get Tired people to spend their money, and overall having a good time. So what an MC in my opinion is someone who helps everyone Have a great time vibe out enjoying the hypeness of what I’m saying. It’s just an overall vibe.”

“Some of the things that I have to face as a black woman especially in this male dominated industry is that when I poke my chest out or I compliment myself it’s always all yea you to cocky or you can’t do it as well as a guy that’s doing what you’re doing .so when I hear things like that I just start Kanye Westing Mics and really turned the party up I never honestly cared with people thought of me. I always marched to the beat of my own drum and let my talent shine through it even if you ‘re going to like me or you’re not, but that’s never been my problem. I truly just don’t pay the Naysayers any attention.”

“For right now I just encourage black women to be who they are and their truth. I’ve done some press on radio shows and I’ve done some nonprofit things and just simply been in the presence of black women. I’m giving hugs, giving compliments telling people how beautiful they are letting them know it’s OK to be your exact vibrant self unapologetically.”

“I’ve always wanted to host Coachella, so hosting Pride events in Baltimore for the past four years has motivated me to eventually get to that point where I’m on Coachella type stages. It has been my Coachella that has approximately 100,000 people listening to my voice while I’m on stage throughout the day so to be able to express my talent in my natural energy to everyone and they rock and vibe with me. That is something that nobody can take from me, that’s why they always bring me back and I can’t wait to Grace even bigger stages.”

She plans of starting back up her podcast which is called kicking it with Bam. Also, she has another podcast with her wife that isĀ  re-launching soon. Her story is golden, so stay locked in with Ashley Harris.
