What is the power and purpose behind Blossom Outreach?

Blossom Outreach, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that was created to address all disadvantages that people from lower social, cultural, and economic demographics face while pursuing their career-related goals.

We hosted college tours and educational events. We are open to participating in career days and have done so with elementary, middle and high schools in metro Atlanta.

Our number one goal is to prepare students for life after high school.

The power in Blossom Outreach is held within our convenience. Millennials are able to connect with generation Z (and all students of any age) and provide instant mentorship to students needing career guidance and advice. Our registered Blossom Buds (mentees) have direct access to speak with over 100 professionals representing a wide range of career fields. Blossom Buds are able to request a 30 minute phone call with a professional who’s career aligns with their aspirations. This service will be launched in January 2021.

India Williams created Blossom Outreach as a way to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Her purpose was to provide motivated students with access and exposure to career possibilities and to guide students to achieve their goals. Although Blossom Outreach provides services to all students we hope to reach students that may not have otherwise been exposed to or been provided the tools needed to success. (For example education about colleges, trades, and career paths)

What is Blossom Outreach working on this holiday season?

We started our Christmas giving event in November this year due to the high demand of families in need during this time. Our giving campaign is called “Christmas Came Early” where we have a goal to sponsor 33 students with gifts from Blossom Outreach. We run a giving campaign through Instagram, word of mouth and our website.

Any special programs?

Yes. Blossom Outreach has three special programs/initiatives that we termed “Blossom For Life”. Blossom For Life represents our commitment to meet the ever evolving needs of at risk communities who lack resources and access.  Our initiatives will evolve with time to meet the current needs of at risk communities. Since 2018, Blossom Outreach has helped at risk students of all ages reach their career related goals. We currently have 3 initiatives to help meet the current needs of our community.

 #1 Health Initiative

Blossom Outreach has a health goal to combat disparities due to Covid-19 2020 pandemic. Our goal is to increase access to personal protective essential items in at risk communities to protect against COVID-19 while pursuing education/career related experiences.

To address secondary effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on vulnerable populations, Blossom Outreach distributes beautiful baskets of hand sanitizers and masks to strategic high-risk COVID-10 places in need. We have a monthly goal of donating at least 1 large basket to shelters and other high-risk COVID-19 locations.

 #2 Education Initiative

Blossom Community Leaders includes includes a network of Teachers, Leaders, Millennial Professionals, College Students, Organizers, Entrepreneurs and Motivators who host classes, programs, workshops and seminars which offer skill sets to make citizens more competitive in today’s workforce  and/or to aid society in personal and  financial growth. We have a network of churches, public and private school systems, event planners, children Club/organization, businesses and various  groups that we provide educational assistance to.

Blossom Outreach seeks guidance through community leader Glenn Williams who has mastered the skill of teaching fast-track classes and courses for immediate use by youth and adults.

Glenn Williams has 10 plus years of experience with categories of programming include subject matters like Workforce Development, Reentry, ACE Classes,  Self-management Systems, Belief Systems, Role models, Film, Talent and  Entertainment Opportunities, Mentoring, Youth Gang-prevention Techniques, and much more.

All materials are  taught by Blossom Outreach Community Leaders and are presented  in the most effective and expeditious manner possible for immediate use in life, employment, rehabilitation, etc.

With our new website coming in Janaury 2021 we plan to provide educational learning virtually as well.

 #3 Virtual Mentorship Initiative

Blossom Outreach created a virtual mentorship network of professionals committed to communicating with at risk students to provide opportunities to gain exposure and guidance on career related opportunities and access, as needed. This new online feature will be available for free at www.blossomoutreach.com in January 2021.

Our mentorship will mimic a “flash mentorship program” style where mentees will be able to contact a professional in a particular career field to receive a 30 minutes phone call/video call/ or chat. This 30 minutes is the only obligation of communication between mentor and mentee. Flash mentorship is meant to achieve immediate guidance to help achieve goals or direct students on career path to success.

Blossom Outreach has a network of over 100 professionals based in Atlanta, GA, and its metro communities who are seeking opportunities to give back. Our team understands the value of education, community involvement, and building relationships with the central focus of helping students meet their career-related goals. We provide virtual mentorship to help connect students with a professional with a similar career path. We are seeking funding to create a website to better manage our virtual mentorship.

What exciting things are upcoming for Blossom Outreach?

Our Blossom Outreach website will be launching in January 2021! We will have easier ways to donate, a forum for sharing knowledge, our online mentorship program, and products/services to purchase from business owners in the community. With each purchase of a product/service, part of the proceeds will go directly to helping students in need.

We are hosting a baby shower for single mothers and at risk mothers in February 2021.

We are hosting a women’s charity event March 2021.

The products/services on our website will be things like soaps, car services from a local dealership, and a poetry book.
