The weekend is here, and some of our favorite artists dropped new music to get us pumped for the mini break before Monday makes a surprise visit again.

If you weren’t awake at midnight, you missed your chance to be the first to stream new music. New releases include Megan Thee Stallion’s latest album, TRAUMAZINE, Nicki Minaj’s summer hit “Super Freaky Girl,” Ari Lennox’s “Hoodie,” a classic DRILLMATIC album from The Game, and more. Here’s what you can expect from some of the artists.

Megan Thee Stallion— TRAUMAZINE

The head ‘Hot Girl’ in charge is here to stay, and she’s not letting anything stop her from dominating. TRAUMAZINE is the follow-up album to Megan’s 2020 album, Good News, but it showcases an entirely different side of the H-town Hottie. It features Latto, Lucky Daye, Future, Jhene Aiko, and more.

Nicki Minaj— “Super Freaky Girl”

The Queen said Summer couldn’t end without a hit, so she made sure to feed music lovers with “Super Freaky Girl.” The single, which samples Rick James’ hit 1981 record “Super Freak,” is fun and upbeat, powered by Minaj’s incomparable pen. With only a snippet released over a week ago, the sound went viral on TikTok, used in over 100,000 videos.

Ari Lennox— “Hoodie”

It’s always a good Friday when new Ari Lennox music is released, and she didn’t disappoint with her single, “Hoodie.” Not only did she bless R&B/Soul lovers with the song, but Lennox also dropped the stunning visuals for the music video. She also revealed the name of her upcoming album, age/sex/location.

The Game— DRILLMATIC Heart vs. Mind

A 31-song hip-hop album is something hardcore hip-hop fans live for, and according to them, this new album from The Game is a classic. DRILLMATIC Heart vs. Mind deepens The Game’s dedication to staying true to his authentic hip-hop sound and roots. He enlists Ice-T, Kanye West, YG, Roddy Rich, Cam’ron, and more.

Rod Wave— Beautiful Mind

This new album from Rod Wave includes love songs, but not just the usual sound fans are familiar with. On Beautiful Mind, you can hear the hopeless romantic side of Wave, as well as songs about his relationship with fame and his road to ultimate peace and safety.
