Nike & Serena Williams to Release First Collection From Apprenticeship Program

Back in 2019, Nike teamed up with tennis grand slam champion, Serena Williams – and honestly, it was one of the greatest things we saw.

The creation of Serena Williams Design Crew was a gift, truly and well, there’s a new collection coming in hopes of establish a new generation of diverse designers. This upcoming September, the first collection from SWDC will release!

With each year that passes, Nike plants to attract talent from a major United States city to recruit for the program. The first year focused on talent from New York while the second had a focus on Chicago. In January 2020, these talents started their journey at the Nike World Headquarters in Portland, Oregon. The talents spent six months to produce the inaugural collection from the SWDC and now it’s ready!
