It has been a year since Grammy-nominated rapper and actor, Bashar Jackson, popularly known as Pop Smoke passed away, but his legacy lives on with the release of his second posthumous album set to release on July 16th.

Pop Smoke rose to fame following the release of his breakout singles “Welcome to the Party” and “Dior” in 2019. But even after his death, the young rapper’s posthumous debut album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” has broken records and dominated the charts for 17 weeks.

Pop Smoke’s manager, Steven Victor, announced the exciting news on Twitter and shared a snippet of Smoke speaking on Instagram, and fans went crazy!

Reporters announced in March that the album became the longest-running number-one R&B /Hip-Hop album on Billboard since 1990…as should!

Even though Pop Smoke is no longer with us, his music will continue to inspire and comfort fans worldwide. As the legend once said, “You cannot say Pop and forget the Smoke.”
