The founders of GoodGirlPR, HipHopCloset, AllHipHop, and top production company The Oracle Media collaborated to produce a fashion show that represented 50 years of hip-hop fashion. PORSCHE Brooklyn hosted this extraordinary event for the love of hip-hop culture, which added to the vibe of the celebration. Having the high-end car brand behind the fashion show added a touch of luxury to the legendary night of music nostalgia.

“I was excited to help plan this fashion show, and seeing Pete Rock, one of the best hip-hop producers of all time, made it so real for me.  We did it through manifestation and pure teamwork,” describes Nickie Robinson, Founder of GoodGirlPR.

“Hip-hop and fashion are blood related and it was great to celebrate the culture and the amazing style that’s sprung out of it over the last 50 years,” stated Chuck Creekmur, Founder of the legendary hip-hop website, AllHipHop.com.

The attendance of fashion influencers and bloggers along the runway illustrated hip-hop’s impact on the fashion industry.  Guests jammed to the tunes of DJ T. Boogie and healthy gift bags were provided by Taliah Waajid, a well-known hair care brand.

The event also celebrated the 25th anniversary of HipHopCloset and AllHipHop, a notable milestone in the hip-hop industry. This achievement clearly exemplified their long-lasting influence on hip-hop culture.

“This year we are celebrating 25 years of being in business while also celebrating five decades of hip-hop. This fashion show was our love letter to the culture and the iconic moments that we have had over the years. It was important to us to showcase the clothing in an authentic and relatable way and showcase the luxurious side of hip-hop fashion,” said Kyiesha Kelly, owner of the HipHopCloset.
