Renowned youth philanthropist Jahkil Jackson, founder of Project I Am, is set to embark on an ambitious campaign in 2024 aimed at impacting 65,000 individuals experiencing homelessness. Earlier this week, President Obama took to Instagram to highlight Jahkil’s remarkable journey and the impact of his philanthropic endeavors since its genesis at the tender age of 8.

Presidential Recognition and Genesis of Project I Am

President Obama’s post featured a heartwarming picture of him with Jahkil when Jahkil was just eight years old, at the very start of his mission to provide support and awareness for the homeless in his community. In his post, President Obama emphasized Jahkil’s growth and dedication, noting that Jahkil, now a junior in high school, continues to build on his work over the years, crediting the support of Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance.

Project I Am’s Impact and Mission

Since its inception, Project I Am has dedicated itself to raising awareness of homelessness and providing both temporary support and long-term solutions to those affected. Under Jahkil’s leadership, the organization has raised over half a million dollars, impacting over 135,000 individuals globally. With a focus on engaging youth as change agents, Project I Am has recruited over 1,500 young changemakers to distribute essential items to homeless populations in major cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., as well as internationally in locations like London and beyond.

The 2024 Campaign and Virtual Giving Event

Key to the 2024 campaign is Project I Am’s commitment to hosting the largest virtual giving event to date in November for Giving Tuesday. The event aims to engage 2,500 youth globally to create 20,000 “Blessing Bags” filled with essential items such as wipes, socks, deodorant, hand sanitizer, granola bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bottled water. Through this initiative, Jahkil and Project I Am hope to inspire a new generation of servant leaders, community builders, and social entrepreneurs.

Jahkil Jackson’s Influence and Partnerships

Jahkil Jackson’s impact extends far beyond his philanthropic endeavors. A two-time bestselling author [who’s currently penning his 3rd book], social entrepreneur, student-athlete, and influencer, Jahkil has been recognized by Forbes Magazine and has collaborated with notable organizations and figures such as Disney, LeBron James, Nike, Crate & Barrel, and the Obama Foundation. His tireless dedication to creating positive change has earned him accolades and partnerships with leading brands, media outlets, and philanthropic organizations worldwide.

Continued Commitment and Call to Action

As Jahkil continues to make waves in the realm of social impact, he remains steadfast in his mission to effect change and inspire others to join him in making a difference.

Jahkil and Project I Am’s journey exemplifies the power of compassion, determination, and youth-driven change. We believe their story deserves to be shared with your audience. From hosting the largest virtual giving event for Giving Tuesday to expanding social impact initiatives, Jahkil’s journey inspires a new generation of servant leaders and social entrepreneurs.
