Congratulations are in order!
We’ve just learned that Rihanna will be honored this year at the 51st NAACP Image Awards. The singer/beauty mogul will receive the President’s Award this year at the annual ceremony.
Last year, Jay-Z received this honor.
The President’s Award is given each year to an individual with special achievement and distinguished public service.
She will be presented with this award by NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson.
In addition to her success in music and beauty, Rihanna is known as a philanthropist as she created the Clara Lionel Foundation back in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. This foundation aims to improve the quality of life for young people around the world.
The 51st annual NAACP Image Awards will air on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 on BET.
