Wakati Oil-Infused Cream, $10

There’s a new haircare brand in town and their name is Wakati. In honor of Black History Month, the brand has teamed up with HBCUs across the nation to create a line of products specifically for curly and textured hair. There are four products in the line but I think I am most excited about this cream. It contains nourishing ingredients such as glycerin, olive, and shea oil.

Garnier Whole Blends Sulfate-Free Remedy Taming Shampoo, $8

I love Garnier’s Whole Blends collection but this one intrigued me because of one key word, ‘taming.’ My hair could always use a little taming and this one may do the trick. It is formulated with cocoa butter and shea butter and is free of yucky ingredients such as parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, and petrolatum. The best part about this product besides the ingredients list is that the bottle is made of 100% post-consumer recycled materials. Pretty nifty!

T3 Fit Dryer, $150

Any tool that will help me cut down the time of blow drying my hair, I must have! This hot tool from T3 has three heat settings, has two speeds, and I’m sure is as great as the other products in their line.

Kaleidoscope Hair Products Unikorn Twi-Light Curl Defining Gel, $14

I’m always testing out new curling defining gels and you better believe this one is at the top of my to-get products list. Part of Kaleidoscope’s Unikorn collection, it contains raw honey, coconut oil, and shea butter. It also promises to hydrate your curls while adding definition. What sold me is that it claims to not add crunchiness to the hair, which I think we all appreciate.

R+Co On A Cloud Baobab Oil and Repair Splash-On Styler, $32

The packaging of R+Co’s new styling product is just so pleasing to me. It is a protein product that promises to rebuild your hair. So for those of you with damaged hair from coloring, bleaching, and heat styling, there is hope because this product promises to bring your hair back to life. Say hello smooth hair and goodbye friziness.
