Acne is something a lot of us struggle with. That dates back to the beginning of our teenage years but ever since the start of the pandemic, I find that my skin has become more irritated than normal. I blame the face mask for that but really, what can we do? Recently, Drunk Elephant has just recently released a new product that contains lactic acid and peptide. That was enough for me to want to get my hands on it. Luckily for me, I was able to.

Today’s SHEEN Review is dedicated to Drunk Elephant’s latest release, the Protini Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum.

Drunk Elephant Protini Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum, $82

Flare ups, congested white heads, and even clogged pores have been my biggest concerns since the start of this pandemic. It has been rough, especially on the nose area for me. I’ve been using this serum at night and sometimes in the morning when I have extra time. There is no horrid smell, which is always a plus in my book. I have been applying it right after toner and one of the first things I noticed after it had been on my skin for a while was that there was no burning or tingling sensation on the skin. Another great pro! As stated before, there is lactic acid in the product which gently exfoliates the skin. The peptide formulated in the product is noticably soothing on the face and it is super hydrating. My skin always looks glowy after use, which I absolutely love.

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Resurfacing Serum retails for $82, a hefty price tag but surely worth every penny in my book. If you’re dealing with maskne as much as I am during this time, I highly reccomend this serum. Clear complexion and glowy skin, who doesn’t want that?
